Our Story
Our seas and sea creatures are in danger because of us. Water pollution caused by human's actions of using and throwing one-time use plastic is causing negative impact to our waters. This is what Serious Straw would like to address.

Serious Straw curates reusable straws in order to save the seas. Serious Straw also offers other reusable products such as plates, cups, and utensils. To ensure our inventory is top of the line, we ensure that we only carry the best quality materials that are sustainable and eco-friendly.

FACT: One of the top 10 sources of marine trash is plastic straws. According to studies, the average American utilizes 1.6 straws / day, amounting to a total of up to 500 million straws daily. That would be enough to circle the globe 2 1/2 times, which is terrifying when you consider what happens in countries all over the world on a daily basis. The plastic straw becomes rubbish once we have finished drinking our drink. A plastic straw takes only 10 minutes to drink with, yet it takes 400 to 500 years to break down.

FACT: Humans can do away with plastic straws. Beverages can be consumed without straws. There are also other alternatives to plastic straws.
